The Sabena Aeroclub in its current form exists since 1954 and was the flying club of Sabena, the former Belgian national carier which unfortunately ceased operations in 2001. Since then, the Sabena Aeroclub is the only organisation still flying with the well known S-tail of Sabena. Our fleet consists of five modern aircraft based at the airfield of Grimbergen, right next to Brussels. This close proximity to the capital city of Belgium and heart of Europe is just one of many benefits.
Our goal is to unite people with a passion for aviation in a club where a friendly club atmosphere is of high priority. Anyone can join the Sabena Aeroclub, whether it is for leisure or a first step towards an airline pilot carreer. Our main purpose is to provide theory and flight training to obtain a PPL(A) or Private Pilot License for aeroplanes. Experienced pilots can also become a member and then lease aircraft at a very affordable price or renew their SEP rating.
Are you just like us fascinated by everything which has to do with aviation, then take a look at our website or contact us to know more information how to become a pilot with us!
The club is registered with the Belgian Civil Aviation Authority under the reference BE.DTO.114.
